Yesterday Tasha & I strolled down in time to see the Oxford/Cambridge Boat Race. There was a great atmosphere: everyone was having a good time. The boats zoomed by, but more impressive was the amount of boats following, armed police, the army, lifeboats, cameras etc. Neither of us had a camera so here is the Thames at a very low tide. At high tide it reaches about 1 foot below the top of the wall (in the second picture. The wall is about a 12 foot drop, but this can't be seen in the photo.
Looking towards Barnes Bridge, just round the bend is Chiswick Bridge.
